Child hit by car in Pembroke

An 11-year-old boy has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in Pembroke on Wednesday.

The incident took place at around 4pm, in Triq Walter Ganado.

The police said, that the child was hit by a Peugeot 308 being driven by a 64-year-old resident from Gzira.

The child was taken to Mater Dei Hospital, where it was certified he was suffering from serious injuries.

A magisterial inquiry has been appointed and police investigations are currently ongoing.
