Franco Mercieca to contest elections in Malta and Gozo

Labour candidate Franco Mercieca will be the first Gozitan to contest the next general elections on both the 12th and 13th District.

Sunday newspaper Illum reveals that ophthalmologist Franco Mercieca will be contesting the general elections on the Gozo district and the 12^th District, which includes Mellieha, Naxxar and St Paul's Bay.

Illum reports the Labour Party expects to attract new voters from this district.
