Former lawyer Patrick Spiteri, who is wanted for fraud and has a European arrest warrent issued against him, made bail yesterday against a deposit of about €90,000. He is accused of defrauding several people of an estimated €10 million.

Opposition leader Simon Busuttil has called on the government to return property taken from private citizens to be turned into Labour party clubs. Busuttil said he was prepared to take the issue to the Constitutional Court.
