The Valletta bus terminus is set to undergo an expansion in order to accomodate the buses needed for the additional 40 routes the new transport provider will be offering. The extension will see bus bays created in St James' ditch.

A May 2013 press statement by the General Workers Union saw it expressing satisfaction at the relocation of the Valletta market to Ordnance Street, making it a lone supporter of PM Joseph Muscat's plan for the relocation.
