In the Press: Army injustices board receiving complaints dating back to the 1950s

Complaints have been flooding in to an army injustices board, some dating as far back as the 1950s, since the board's foundation two years ago. One such complaint saw the retroactive promotion of a retired high-ranking officer, with effect from January 1992.

Godwin Scerri, who began serving a five-year sentence in 2012 for sexually abusing minors in a Church home, is out on parole, bound by a "number of conditions".

Several localities were left sweltering after a fault on the Sicily end of the underwater interconnector caused a power cut. The power went out for just under two hours at about 4:30pm. The interconnector provides for about half of the country's energy demands.
