Male corpse retrieved from the sea in Gozo

An operation by the Armed Forces of Malta is currently underway to retrieve the body of a man, spotted in the sea in the area of Xatt l-Aħmar, in Ghajnsielem.

According to the police media unit, the corpse was spotted at 2pm and brought to shore in Mgarr by patrol boat.

The identity of the corpse has not yet been established, magesterial inquiry has been initiated and police investigations are on-going.
