Russian PM Putin blames US for election protests
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin blames US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for triggering protests after parliamentary elections.
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin accuses US of triggering poll protests just one day after registering for presidential elections in March.
The United States have been accused by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin for instigating protests against the results of Russia’s parliamentary elections.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton fell under particular focus for Putin who said she was the trigger for opposition activists and had given them a “signal” which made them start “active work”.
Putin also warned those working for foreign governments that they would be held accountable for influencing Russian politics as international monitors were concerned about the elections.
These comments came just a day after Putin registered to run for the presidential elections in March after stepping down from office in 2008 to hold the post of prime minister since then.
