Two supporters dead in Bangladesh clashes
Two people killed in clash with ruling party on the anniversary of controversial elections

Clashes have risen on the streets of Bangladesh as the leader of the main opposition party of the country (Bangladesh Nationalist Party) Khaleda Zia was besieged in her office.
Zia called out for protests from inside her office, while her spokesperson said that she would also try joining in the protests herself.
The protests are aimed to force current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to hold new multi-party polls. Hasina has been in power since 2009, and she was re-elected on 5th January 2015, after most opposition parties, including Zia’s BNP party boycotted the elections due to rigging fears.
Hasina, has continuously refused calls for a fresh election, however, she will be deliver a televised address to the nation on Monday night.
