Yemen capital struck by car bomb
Car bomb in Yemen capital Sanaa leaves at least 30 people dead and 40 others injured

Security sources said that a blast outside a police college in Sanaa in Yemen has left 26 people dead and 40 others injured. The bomb exploded when people were queued up for a police recruitment drive.
The attack was aimed at the centre of Houthi fighters nearby (an insurgent group operating in the country).
Witnesses of the blast said that it was heard throughout the city, and that a cloud of smoke was also visible. Images of the scene also suggest that the number of casualties is likely to rise.
The country has been unstable since protests forced then president Ali Abdullah Saleh from office after 33 years in power. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack as yet.
