Kevin Spacey comes out after apologising for 'sexual advance' toward 14-year-old actor

Hollywood star Kevin Spacey has apologised to an actor who has accused him of attempting to "seduce" him when he was 14. 

Spacey claimed that he did not remember the encounter, and described feeling "horrified" at the allegations being made against him.

In his apology, he also admitted to having been living as a gay man for years, following many years of speculation. He has previously refused to address rumors regarding his sexuality. "I want to deal with this honestly and openly and that starts with examining my own behavior," he said.

In an interview with Buzzfeed, Rapp explained that Spacey invited him to a party in his apartment in 1989 – when he was 14 years old, and Spacey was 26. 

The Star Trek: Discovery actor said that the allegations made against Harvey Weinstein compelled him to speak out.
