Uruguay keeper Fernando Muslera smiled off a curious night-time incident Friday, when scores of ants invaded his bed in Fortaleza ahead of the World Cup game against Costa Rica.

"Good day. Look who woke us up at 2 am," Muslera posted on his account in the social network Twitter. "Haha, nothing beats a good anti-allergic medicine."

The Galatasaray keeper posted a photo that showed scores of ants on white sheets.

Later Friday, Muslera brushed aside the issue.

"It was a comic situation more than anything else," he told a press conference at Castelao stadium.

"They quickly came to change our sheets and we were able to sleep peacefully," he said.
