Ice-T arrested; lashes out online

Veteran rapper-actor Ice-T (real name Tracy Marrow) was arrested close to New York's Lincoln Tunnel after being caught driving without a seatbelt while taking his bulldog Spartacus for surgery, only to then also be booked for driving with a suspended license.

The incident, which occurred last Tuesday, was promptly documented on the gangsta rapper's Twitter page (http://twitter.com/finallevel)where he blasted the "punk a** rookie cop" who arrested him, even citing the officer's surname and badge number.

According to Morrow, the officer arrested him after saying: "I know who you are and I don't give a f*ck!"; in response to another insulting remark by the rapper.

Later on, Morrow went on to deny allegations that his driving license was suspended, claiming that he holds a valid New Jersey license and that the police were spreading "lies" to the media.

Following a four-year stint in the army, Ice-T burst into the musical scene in the late 80s, where his socially-charged lyrics landed him a coveted place in both the hip hop and heavy metal worlds, both as a solo artist and founding member of Body Count. He has also branched into acting, and he currently portrays Detective Fin Tutotla in NBC's TV series Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.
