Russian man charged with helping hide Mangion Walker's body

33 year-old chef Kristijan Zekic, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

A 33-year-old Russian cook was remanded in custody after he appeared in court, charged with assisting in concealing the body of murder victim Eleanor Mangion Walker last month.

Kristijan Zekic pleaded not guilty to having helped hide Mangion Walker's body after her murder in a Swieqi garage on July 3rd.

The victim's estranged husband was charged with her murder after the woman's body was discovered in a disused warehouse in Qormi.

Zekic also faced charges related to breaching bail conditions he was under with regards to other, unconnected, criminal proceedings.

The court turned down his request for bail.
