Man crashes into tree, ends up on opposite lane

A man, 32, was grievously injured when he crashed his van during the early hours of Tuesday morning

A man was rushed to Mater Dei last night suffering from grievous injuries after he crashed his van into a tree.

The incident happened at around 3.15am along the Marsa bypass.

The police said that the vehicle, an Isuzu ELF, crashed into a tree, landing on the opposite lane. The assistance of the Civil Protection Department was requested to pull out the driver, 32 of Balzan, out of the vehicle.

An investigation by the police is underway.
