Man grievously injured in traffic accident

A 35-year-old Serbian is on the verge of losing his life after being involved in a traffic accident early this morning at about 2:30am in Regional Road, Gżira.

Preliminary investigations by the police who were on the scene show that the Pieta’ resident was driving his Piaggio Runner motorcycle towards Msida when he lost control. He was rushed to mater Dei hospital where it was confirmed that he was suffering from serious injuries and is at risk of dying.

F. Depasquale, the magistrate on duty, appointed several experts to assist in the investigation currently being carried out by the police officers of the Sliema district.
