Sliema Wanders and Qormi had to settle for a point each after they played to a goalless draw.

This is not the result Sliema were looking for as they are still chasing their first win of the season.

For Qormi it was a more positive affair as they managed to collect a point after losing their last two matches.

Qormi created the first real goal scoring opportunity on the 23rd minute. Albert Bruce’s effort went just wide after receiving a precise cross from Frank Temile.

It was then Sliema who went close to scoring on the 36th minute. A corner by Guy Kassa Gnabayou went directly towards Michael Mifsud who’s header was deflected into a corner by Zoran Levnaic.

Sliema went close to scoring again eight minutes into the second half. A shot by Filippo Talato was deflected into a corner and then on the 56th minute, A shot by Trevor Cilia was deflected into a corner by goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia.

One minute from time Sliema had a excellent chance to score the winner. A corner by Trevor Cilia created a goalmouth scramble with Flippo Talato having his shot cleared from the goal line by goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia.
