PBS to air FA Cup semifinals, final

PBS has concluded an exclusive deal with the Football Association for the free-to-air rights of both FA Cup semifinals this weekend and the final on 30 May.

Arsenal - Reading will be shown live on TVM2 on Saturday 18 April with kick-off time at 18:20.

Immediately preceding it will be a half-hour preview show highlighting all four semifinalists’ progress to this stage of English football’s second top prize and the oldest association football competition in the world.

Aston Villa - Liverpool will also be shown live and in full HD on TVM2 on Sunday 19th April, kicking off at 16:00.

Both semifinals will be played at the world’s premier football stage, Wembley Stadium: the same as the FA Cup final on Saturday May 30th which will also be shown live and exclusively by PBS along with the traditional Road To Wembley preview.

The FA Cup is the latest addition to PBS’ growing list of exclusive sports properties brought completely free of charge by the National Station to every Maltese household and in particular Malta’s sporting public.

Other current rights include the UEFA Champions’ League and UEFA Europa League, the European Qualifiers, the FIFA 2017 Confederations Cup, and the FIFA 2018 World Cup.
