Hibernians record their second win

Clayton Failla, Jurgen Degabriele and Bjorn Kristensen were on target as Hibernians recorded their second win of the season after beating Mosta 3-1.

On the 20th minute, Hibernians threatened the Mosta defence when Johann Bezzina sent a cross shot that ended up a few centimetres wide.

Six minutes before half time, Hibernians were awarded a penalty. Joseph Mbong was brought down inside the penalty area by Francis Owundinjo and the referee pointed to the spot. From the resulting penalty, Clayton Failla converted.

Hibernians doubled the score on the 58th minute. Failla found Kristensen, who finished behind Emmanuel Bartolo.

Seven minutes from time, Hibernians scored their third goal. Substitute Andrew Cohen passed the ball towards Jurgen Degabriele, who kept calm and placed the ball inside the net.

In the additional time given by the referee, Mosta were awarded a penalty after Antoine Borg was fouled inside the penalty area. From the penalty spot, Njongo Priso fired a shot past Hogg to reduce the margin for Mosta.

Following this result, Hibernians are now on six points, while Mosta are still looking for their first points.
