The Serbians went ahead after twelve minutes. Following a cross, Richmond Boakye sent a header that hit the post and ended up inside the net.

Floriana equalised in the added time given by the referee prior to half-time. Juninho Cabral was fouled inside the penalty area by Damien Le Tallec and the referee pointed towards the spot. From the elven metres mark, Steve Pisani made no mistake and converted past Filip Manojlovic.

Red Star went ahead again on the 70th minute. Slavoljub Srnic served Richmond Boakye and the latter finished behind Matthew Grech.

On the 77th minute, Red Star made it 3-1. Boakye delivered the ball towards Nenad Milijas whose effort gave Grech no chance.

Two minutes later, Floriana reduced the gap. Maurizio Vella saw his shot ending up behind Manojlovic.

Seconds later, Marco Gobeljic of Red Star was sent off by the referee.

Floriana took advantage and scored the equalising goal. Vella’s cross was met by Ignacio Varela who headed home.

However, Varela was sent off immediately following some provocative gestures.
