The Spartans took the lead on the 14th minute. Njongo Priso served Marco Criaco and the latter fired a diagonal shot that ended up past Justin Haber.

However, Gzira hit back and managed to clinch a late equaliser. Following a corner, Gianmarco Conti’s acrobatic effort stunned Manuel Bartolo.
