Marko Micovic’s side forged ahead one minute prior to half-time. Ivan Bozovic delivered the ball towards Ricardo Correa whose shot from inside the penalty area gave Jamie Azzopardi no chance.

Balzan doubled their advantage moments later. Carlos Eduardo De Fiori Mendes served Andrija Majdevac and the latter slotted the ball inside the net.

Majdevac sealed the issue for Balzan on the hour mark. Uros Ljubomirac’s cross was met by the Serbian who finished home.

Qormi pulled one back on the 74th minute. Following a cross by Freud Gnindokponou, Balzan’ defence failed to clear their marks and Antonio Rozzi finished past Steve Sultana.
