Cassar dominates at ASM Autocross

Patrick Cassar on his Opel Corsa won all of the three qualifying heats including the 9 Lap Class A Final race.

He took the lead from the start and built a gap as the race made progress. Manuel Muscat and Joseph Calleja both on Opel cars followed Cassar along the track to the finish. Calleja, Birmingham on his Suzuki and Matthew Borg raced close to each other while battling for 3rd to 5th place. Birmingham added pressure and won over Calleja with Borg winning 5th place.

Vince Farrugia on his VW Polo took the lead from the Start. He was closely followed by Josef Abela and Philip Joe Vella both on Opel cars. Later, Vella fouled Abela which resulted in both cars partly loosing control and placing to Keith Borg and Philip Grima. Both took advantage of the situation and won 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Abela and Vella finished in 4th and 5th place respectively.
