Sirens and San Giljan register first wins

This was an entertaining game between two sides which were always close and with Exiles bouncing back from their heavy defeat against Neptunes. In fact the first two sessions were balanced affairs with the first ending 2-3 and the second 4-4. As expected, Varga and Cousin were their sides top scorers with Bonca also grabbing a couple for Exiles.

The third session saw Sirens move ahead for the first time in the match but a goal at the end of the session by Lanzon saw the match set up nicely at 8-8 with the final session to go. However the final session saw Sirens distance themselves in the latter part with goals from Varga and Mercieca clinching a 13-10 victory for them with Exiles fading slightly.

San Giljan Firetech showed their mettle by demolishing Ta’ Xbiex Mermaids Paradise in a rather one sided encounter. The first two sessions were easily won by San Giljan 5-3 and 2-0 with Toth and Gyrovath making their mark on the match.

San Giljan continued romping ahead in the third session winning it 6-3 with Nossec notching up three goals. The final session was a simple formality with San Giljan registering an easier win than they had perhaps expected.
