Materazzi too busy to watch Italy matches

Asked whether he would be watching Italy, he told the club's official website: "Not much. If I get the chance I will have a look, but only if there is a chance. Let's say I will not stop just to watch them."

But he did wish Marcello Lippi's men well while they battle it out for supremacy in South Africa.

"I am always close to Italy with all my heart and I hope they enjoy South Africa. My hope is that the team returns to Italy later rather than sooner. I wish them luck."
