High Commissioner’s brother-in-law’s band does Independence honours in London
In London, it must have been tough brainstorming on which Maltese band gets to play for Independence celebrations.

As it happens, Winter Moods are not just one of Malta’s main musical acts. Their frontman is also the brother-in-law of the High Commissioner in London, Norman Hamilton.
Which perhaps accounts for the fact that Winter Moods, just fresh from playing a successful 30-year anniversary concert, will be “celebrating” Malta’s 41st anniversary of independence from British rule, at St James’s Church, Piccadilly.
Was it really that hard for Hamilton to pick a band whose vocalist does not share a direct bloodline with his wife? The ambassador really spoils his guests…
