VIDEO | Lady Gaga's Born This Way

In scenes that resemble something out of Forbidden Planet or the Aliens films (though given a decidedly camp varnish) Lady Gaga's promotional video to the already-successful single Born This Way starts off with a 'manifesto' for Mother Monster - presumably Gaga's intergalactic alter ego-cum-camp-Goddess. 

The opening delivers the usual high-concept imagery we've come to expect from the stratospherically popular starlet, with mirror-effects depicting Mother Monster's narcissistic birth. But perhaps what's actually unique this time around is that there's a large chunk of words preceding the action: Gaga narrates her character's birth in biblical overtones, using words like 'mitosis' to describe the process...
