Adrian Delia has been under siege from friend and foe but nobody from the Nationalist Party has stood up to challenge his leadership.

This can only mean that the Opposition leader will soldier on at the helm of the party until the next general election, irrespective of the result in May's European Parliament vote, Saviour Balzan says in his video blog.

The PN, so far, has lacked proposals and has been unable to set the agenda. This, Balzan argues, has left the government without a countercheck on its actions.

Balzan also speaks about the handing over of public land for private investment. He argues that although there is no formula that says this should never be case, it is unacceptable to give up public land practically for free to benefit a company or group of shareholders, especially at a time when the construction frenzy should be reigned in.
