Firefighters extinguish fire in Valletta

A fire was reported this morning in a residence in Merchant Street, Valletta.

The police said the fire, which probably started from a water heater in the apartment, was quickly extinguished by firefighters.

The inhabitants, a man, 63, and a woman, 44, were only treated for smoke inhalation.
