Hold-up in Attard shop

An armed man escaped with cash he stole during a hold-up at the Maypole shop in Attard. The armed robbery took place at 7.30pm.

According to the police, a masked person armed with a firearm stormed the shop from he which he stole cash. The amount is still being quantified.

He also stole money from a customer, who according to media reports is pregnant.

No one was injured and the police are now hunting for the man.
