Man injured in motorcycle accident

A motorcyclist was slightly injured today after being involved in an accident in Cirkewwa.

The incident occurred at about 11:15am when a Honda CB Hornet driven by a 68-year-old man from Marsaskala crashed into a Fiat Punto driven by a 46-year-old British woman. Police said the crash occurred while the two vehicles were driving towards the Cirkewwa terminal.

The man was given medical assistance by an ambulance, before going to a health centre close by. He has been certified as suffering from slight injuries.
