Man killed in traffic accident

A 63-year-old man from Siggiewi was certified dead on the spot after he was hit by a car in the same locality.

The police’s communication office said the man died in Triq Dun Manwel Zammit following a traffic accident that took place 4.50pm.

Preliminary investigations show that the man was hit by a Mitsubishi Shogun driven by a 25-year-old man. The driver is from Siggiewi as well.

A magisterial inquiry has been appointed.
