Muscat ‘prepared to bear responsibility’ - PL

While the Nationalist Party Executive Council is in session, the Labour Party said that national interest lies in the country’s stability and the Prime Minister is responsible for finding a solution.

“If Lawrence Gonzi has a solution for the instability in our country, then he should give a clear sign tonight. If not, he should call for a vote of confidence in Parliament. If he is not even willing to do this, then someone needs to carry the responsibility to bring back stability for our country,” the PL said.

In reaction to PN’s statement this afternoon where Muscat was accused of using Franco Debono’s withdrawal of confidence in the government to become prime minister, the PL said: “Joseph Muscat is prepared to bear the responsibility.”
