Petrol, kerosene up by 2c per litre, unleaded, LRP down by 1c per litre as from tomorrow

The price of diesel and kerosene will be going up by 2 euro cents per litre to €1.08 per litre for both fuels as from tomorrow, while the price of unleaded petrol and Lead Replacement Petrol (LRP) will be going slightly down by one euro cent to €1.19 per litre and €1.26 per litre respectively.

Enemalta Corporation also announced that the price of gasoil for heating will also be going slightly down as from tomorrow to €0.71 per litre as against the current price of €0.73 per litre.

The price of thin fuel oil, which is heavily used by industry and tourism, will also go down as from tomorrow.

The price of TFO 200 will go down by €22 per litre, from the current price of €547 per litre to €525 per litre.

TFO 450 will also see its price going down by €22 per litre, from the current price of €535 per litre to €513 per litre, while the price of TFO 900 will go down by €24 per litre, from the current price of €515 per litre to €491 per litre.

According to Enemalta, the September petrol consignment was based on September Platts prices “which on average were higher than the previous delivery pricing basis”.

However, petrol prices for the month of October will go marginally down “due to favourable exchange rate movements at the time of purchase,” the Corporation explained.

Diesel consignment was also based on September Platts prices “which on average were higher than the previous delivery pricing basis”.

“In addition, the diesel consignment was purchased at a less favourable exchange rate than the petrol consignment.  This brought about an increase in the diesel prices for the month of October,” Enemalta concluded.

The price of gas has also gone up and the misers in government only want to give us €1.16 COLA. Also whatever the price of oil, both petrol and diesel are derivatives from the same oil, so how is it that petrol price decreased and diesel increased? No one believes the government or any authorities any longer.
