Whistleblowers' Act welcomed in MaltaToday as Corruption survey published

Today's MT edition publishes a corruption survey.  But significantly MaltaToday's Sunday edition welcoms the Whistleblowers' Act announced this week by Prime Minister Gonzi.  The newspaper takes note of the fact that the Prime minister is reacting to the newspapers challenge for better governance.

The editorial states: "The political message, on the other hand, is plain for all to see: Lawrence Gonzi has taken cognisance of the popular demand for better governance;and now knows that unless he successfully overturns the widespreadcorruption perception, his days in office are numbered. The existence of the problem, it seems, has finally been acknowledged."
