The American actress and Oscar winner best known for her roles in Annie Hall, Father of the Bride, and The First Wives Club, passed away on Saturday surrounded by family and friends.

Born in Los Angeles in 1946, Keaton began her film career in 1970 with Honeymoon in Vegas. She gained international recognition for her performance in The Godfather as Kay Adams, the wife of Al Pacino’s character, and for her long-running collaboration with filmmaker Woody Allen.
In 1977, her portrayal of Annie Hall earned her an Academy Award and became a defining moment in film history.
