Dry and windy weather expected for Christmas

Temperatures will reach a high of 17°C and winds up to force 6 are expected 

The Meteorological Office is forecasting a slightly warmer but windier Christmas than those recorded during the past few years. 

Christmas Eve temperatures are expected to reach a maximum of 17°C with a low of 12°C, with similar temperatures predicted for Christmas.

A force 5 to 6 west by northwest wind will blow heavily over the Maltese islands across the two days, but should die down by Boxing Day. 

Despite this Christmas being slightly warmer than the average, the warmest holiday season was that of 2009, where the the maximum temperature reached was 23.6°C, 5.5 degrees warmer than what is forecast for this year.

No rainfall is expected in the coming days.
