Houston’s private funeral set for Saturday
Whitney Houston’s funeral will be held in the church where she first practised her singing talents as a child.
Whitney Houstons private funeral service will take place on Saturday at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey
Houston died last Saturday in her hotel room in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. The 48-year-old singer will be laid to rest at the church where she first used to showcase her singing talents.
After the coroner's office released the pop singer's body to her family, her body was flown into Teterboro airport and driven to the Whingham Funeral Home in a gold hearse. According to reports, only those with invites will be able to attend the funeral.
Houston's family has also reportedly considered an additional farewell at an 18,000-seat arena, Sky news reports.
