Sweden's Princess to marry fitness trainer

Royal wedding bells are set to toil as Crown Princess Victoria is to marrying her fitness trainer boyfriend, Daniel Westling, after a long romance.

The Swedish heir to the throne started working out at Daniel Westling's gym in Stockholm in 2000. In a TV interview Crown Princess Victoria said their affection for each other started as a little acorn but it soon became a mighty oak.

"Daniel and I had a very beautiful and grounded friendship. We were very good friends before, and it was a friendship that grew and became love," she said.

Her husband-to-be has already been groomed to take on a more ceremonial role in Swedish life. He is said to be ditching the dumbbells and picking up a noble title instead.

As soon as he marries, Daniel Wrestling will be known as Prince Daniel Duke of Vastergotland.

Dignitaries and royalty from around the world are expected to attend the ceremony which is costing about £1m.
