Norway terror suspect to remain in custody
An Oslo appeals court has ruled that David Jakobsen, who is suspected of plotting a bombing must remain in custody. This occurs a day after ordering his release.
Yesterday, the court had ruled that Jakobsen, 32, should be released pending trial due to low flight risk. The ruling was automatically suspended after Norwegian police appealed the decision.
Jakobsen, Mikael Davud and Shawn Sadek Saeed Bujak are believed that the three were plotting a bombing and that they have links to Al-Qaeda.
Jakobsen is the only one of the trio who has not yet confessed. He tipped off police about the plot but investigators suspect that he may have played a double role.
The other two suspects have rejected having any link to Al-Qaeda but have admitted to plotting an attack. The versions of what the target was are different.
