25 people were killed and a 100 other injured in a fire which broke out at a hospital in southern Saudi Arabia

25 people were killed in a fire which broke out at a Saudi Arabian hospital overnight, according to international media,
The blaze broke out in the intensive care and maternity departments of the Jazan General Hospital, in the South of the country, the Civil Defence Agency tweeted, injuring a 100 others in addition to the fatalities.
Reports say that the fire is now over and those injured have been transferred to other hospitals in the area, and an investigation is under way to find out the cause of the blaze. The agency added that some 21 civil defence teams helped extinguish the fire.
Jazan is near the border with Yemen, which has seen months of fighting between Houthi rebels and Saudi-backed forces. According to reports, earlier this week a rocket fired from Yemen towards Jazan was intercepted by Saudi Arabia, although there is no indication Thursday's fire is related to the conflict.
