2015/16 First, Second and Third Division draws

The draws for the BOV First Division, BOV Second Division and BOV Third Division leagues were held today at the Grand Hotel Excelsior.

The fixtures for the BOV Football Leagues for season 2015/2016 were drawn by BOV CEO Charles Borg and MFA General Secretary Bjorn Vassallo during a press conference held at The Excelsior.

BOV First Division - Match-day 1
Fgura United  - Hamrun Spartans, Pietà Hotspurs - Vittoriosa Stars, Zebbug Rangers - San Gwann, Gzira United - Lija Athletic, Rabat Ajax - St. George’s, Senglea Athletic - Mqabba and Gudja United - Melita.
Kick-off on September 11 and comes to an end on April 24.
Two teams will be promoted to the Premier League, the team placing third will be playing a promotion decider against the team placing tenth in the Premier League while three teams will be relegated to Division 2.

The BOV Second Division - Match Day 1
Sirens - Siggiewi, Mgarr United - Birzebbuga St. Peter’s, Kirkop United - Qrendi, Zurrieq - Zebbug Rangers, Msida St. Joseph - Mellieha, Zejtun Corinthians - Marsa and Gharghur - Swieqi United.
Kick-off on September 18 and come to an end on April 25.
Three teams will be promoted to Division 1 and three relegated to Division 3.

The BOV Third Division - Match-day 1
Kalkara - Xghajra Tornados, Attard - Dingli Swallows, Santa Lucia - St. Venera Lightnings, Marsaskala - Mtarfa, Ta’ Xbiex - Luqa St. Andrew’s, Mdina Knights  - Marsaxlokk and Ghaxaq - Kalkara.
Kick-off on September 19 and come to an end on April 24.
Three teams will be promoted to Division 2 and the bottom two need to re-apply to take part the following season.

Location of matches
First Division matches will be played at the Centenary Stadium, Luxol Stadium and Victor Tedesco Stadium. One match will be played on Fridays, two on Saturdays and four on Sundays or four on a Saturday and two on a Sunday.
Second Division matches will be played at the Centenary Stadium, Charles Abela Stadium, Luxol Stadium and Sirens Stadium. One match will be played on Fridays and the other six on Saturdays or Sundays.
Third Division matches will be played at the Centenary Stadium, Charles Abela Stadium, Luxol Stadium and Sirens Stadium. The six matches will be played on Saturdays or Sundays.
