Comic book artist Steve Scott returns to Malta for meet-and-greet

Following his participation at Malta Comic Con 2014, British artist Steve Scott will be meeting fans at Pandora's Box Collectibles, Tarxien tomorrow Tuesday from 17:30 to 19:00.

Steve Scott has illustrated such titles as; Batman, X-Men Forever, JLA, Batman Confidential, Marvel Adventures Hulk and many more. Over his eighteen year career, the publishers have included, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Image, Dark Horse, London Knight Studios, Malibu Comics and several independent publishers.

“I met the great guys involved with Wicked Comics back in March 2014 at the London Super Comic Convention and we just hit it off. I was very honored that they invited me to the Malta Comic con. I had already heard some wonderful things about the event from other Guests in the past. So, this past November I was a featured guest of the show and I just had the most amazing time. They really hold a top-notch event. I look forward to my return to Malta and hope to see many of my new friends and fans again. The Love of Pop culture is alive and strong on the island of Malta because of the wonderful crew of Wicked Comics,” Scott said prior to his visit to Malta.

In addition to his work in comics, Scott has worked in TV, film, and, most recently, video games. His work for television has been seen on two episodes of the hit TV series Smallville during season six. The work for Smallville was titled Justice and Doom for which Scott illustrated on complete episode and was called back to work on the final episode of the series. In addition, Scott was called upon by ABC Family’s hit series KYLE XY to illustrate a story bridging the gap between seasons one and two.

In films, Scott was selected to draw the only adaptation to the 2008 Oscar winning film Batman the Dark Knight. His work was overseen and approved by director Christopher Nolan. This artwork was part of the packaging offered with the Special Blue Ray edition of Batman Begins.

Also, that same year, George Lucas approved Scott to be the artist for Indiana Jones and the Tomb of the Gods. This series, written by Rob Williams, was very popular with Indiana Jones fans all over the world. Much of the art from the series was purchased by Lucas himself and is now part of his permanent collection.

Moving along with the changing face of illustration, Steve's work can be found in the digital market where he has provided graphics for Cognito Comics for their revolutionary, interactive graphic novel Operation Ajax. In video games, he is currently providing work for The Bane of Yoto from Leviathan Games.

His most recent work can be found in the upcoming adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s The Graveyard Book. Scott was handpicked to be one of the few illustrators involved with this project. Additionally, he has been doing art chores on the IDW series Judge Dredd.
