Db Hotels and Resorts to hold first annual Puttinu Cares Break

The db Hotels + Resorts launched its 1st Annual Puttinu Cares break initiative in conjunction with the Puttinu Cares Foundation. db Seabank Resort + Spa and db San Antonio Hotel + Spa will be hosting a number of families with children suffering from cancer for a two-day stay . The scope is to give parents and their children a couple of days of relaxation and fun during the holiday season.

The initiative, from which 30 families will be benefitting, is part of the db chain Corporate Social Responsibility drive. A specially-designed programme of activities is being organised, including a cooking experience led by the hotel’s Executive Chef and his team, games and entertainment led by the animation team as well relaxing time. The families will have access to all facilities that db Hotels + Resorts offer to all its guests.

Vincent Degiorgio, Director of db Hotels + Resorts, said, “We are committed to support our community in the best way we can. With this annual event we hope to give these families with children suffering from cancer a couple of days away from their daily challenges and difficulties. It is our way of saying, you are not alone, we are here for you”.

Minister for the Family and Social Solidarity Michael Farrugia expressed his gratitude to db Hotels + Resorts management for taking such initiative and encourage other entities to follow their example.

He also said, “this initiative helps these families moral and support them to continue fighting this challenge. The government continues to support these cases thanks to the new assistance introduced early this year where both parents can now accompany their children whilst on therapy abroad.”
