P. Cutajar Foundation launches with a call to the public

The foundation is calling on the public to sudmit causes worth of support

P. Cutajar & Co. Ltd. has set up an independent foundation to support local charitable and cultural initiatives, and is calling on the public to submit causes worthy of support.

Chaired by respected corporate lawyer Gege Vella, The P. Cutajar Foundation is being set up this year as part of the company’s 150th year anniversary celebrations. The other members are Denis Zammit Cutajar and Stephanie Caruana, already well known for her work with voluntary NGOs.

“We want to give something back to the society which has shown its support to our company for 150 years. P. Cutajar & Co. Ltd. has always supported local charities and cultural initiatives, but this year we have decided to structure this process more formally by setting up a Foundation,” said P. Cutajar & Co. Ltd.’s CEO Denis Zammit Cutajar.

“We now have a firm and clear commitment to donate a percentage of our profit each year to the Foundation. We are also very open to receiving requests and ideas regarding charitable initiatives from the public, of which we may not be aware,” Zammit Cutajar added.

P. Cutajar & Co. Ltd. began in an office in Valletta in 1865. Today, it stands as one of Malta’s longest established importers and distributors of wines, spirits, food and confectionary, boasting an extensive portfolio of brands such as Ferrero, Lavazza, Bacardi, Martini, Häagen-Dazs and Olly’s Premium Eats. The company also operates fashion retail outlets Coccinelle and Solaris.
