Medserv awarded contract for support of exploration activity offshore Portugal

It is expected that this contract shall be serviced through the Group’s internal resources.

Medserv has been awarded a contract by ENI to provide a logistics base and associated services for its exploration activities taking place offshore Portugal, in the Alentejo Basin. The contract duration is six months with possible extensions.

In order to provide these services, the Company has identified facilities in Portugal and has resources already on the ground setting up the Medserv Pop-Up Facility to support the operation for the duration of the contract, designed to the highest industry specs, with highest regard to mitigating any impact on the environment. It is expected that this contract shall be serviced through the Group’s internal resources.

This contract is further evidence to support the Group’s strategy of broadening our geographic reach. As well as offshore Portugal, the Medserv Group supports the exploration activity in the Levant basin from Cyprus, the exploration and production wells in North Africa (primarily Libya) from its Malta base. Furthermore, as a result of the recent acquisition of Middle East Tubular Services (METS), the Group is servicing the Middle East market through its three bases located in UAE, Oman and Iraq.

With METS, the Group has expanded its portfolio of engineering services to include inspection, storage and repair of premium threaded OCTG pipe.
