In 2004 the group was affiliated with Europa Donna, the European Breast Cancer coalition, which advocates for optimal breast cancer treatment for all women in the European Union.

One of EDM (BCSGED)'s main objectives is to support people who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and to provide encouragement for those undergoing treatment through to recovery and life after treatment, and possible reconstructive surgery. The group is dedicated to helping breast cancer survivors reclaim a positive body image and a healthy lifestyle. It also offers support for family and friends of patients or survivors.

Information booklets and leaflets will be distributed free on the day. For more information telephone 2138 0600 or go to the Bay Street Facebook page www.facebook.com/baystreetmalta
