Metsola welcomes Maltese parliament delegation in Brussels

The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, extended a warm welcome to a delegation from the Maltese Parliament led by Speaker Anġlu Farrugia during their visit to Brussels. 

The meeting, held in the heart of the European Union, underscored the importance of collaboration between Maltese and European institutions.

President Metsola emphasised the significance of the European Parliament as a home for every Maltese and Gozitan citizen, inviting the Maltese parliamentarians to actively engage in discussions held in both Brussels and Strasbourg. 

She stressed the potential for their participation to have a meaningful impact on decisions that directly affect the lives of the Maltese and Gozitan people.

Speaker Anġlu Farrugia expressed his gratitude to President Metsola for her leadership in guiding the European Parliament. 

He was joined by representatives from both sides of the political spectrum, collectively applauding President Metsola's efforts in bolstering Malta's reputation on the international stage.
