Auxiliary bishop Charles Scicluna expressed concern that the debate on decriminalization of drugs could benefit drug barons and said that the legislative review is being rushed into. While parliament's expert on the matter says that decriminalization is inevitable, Mgr Scicluna said that removing the deterrent of punishment would mean more youngsters would be tempted to try drugs.

After breaking the story yesterday, this newspaper reports that the container that left the Freeport unauthorized was identified and will be returning to Malta. Disciplinary action is being taken against two Freeport officials in connection with the incident.
