PN pledges cycling, jogging tracks for Ta’ Qali

PN pledges to install walking/jogging track and a cycling track at Ta' Qali in an attempt to foster a 'sports culture' in Malta

The Nationalist Party has pledged to install a 2.5km walking/jogging track and a cycling track at Ta’ Qali if elected to government.

Opposition whip and sports spokesperson David Agius said that the PN plans to invest in Ta’ Qali and improve it as a sports and a leisure village which will include the two tracks.

He also said that the PN will commit funds for a major programme in sports infrastructure to send a clear message to the public that switching to a healthy lifestyle is easy and accessible.

“The ultimate objective would be to create a proper sports culture in our society, and a future PN government would work closely with the Malta Olympic Committee and sports associations in this direction,” he said.

Such proposals will be included in national sports policy document that the PN will launched in the near future.
