With the issue of unemployment proving to be a foremost bone of contention between the Opposition and the government, Reporter on TVM will tomorrow discuss Malta’s unemployment rates, and the government’s job creation schemes.

Opposition leader Simon Busuttil has lambasted the government for “ignoring” Malta’s unemployment rates, and has also accused it of only awarding jobs to the Labour clique. Rebutting the allegations, the government has recently announced its new national employment policy.

Reporter presenter Saviour Balzan will host Economy minister Chris Cardona and PN Deputy Leader Beppe Fenech Adami.

Reporter on TVM will delve into the current state of Malta’s economy and the investment that the government is trying to attract.

Are enough jobs being created to satisfy the demand? Is the PN’s criticism justified?

Moreover, Reporter will analyse how current small and medium businesses are expanding their business. Reporter on TVM will also scrutinise the incentives being offered to small businesses and the role being adopted by the Malta Enterprise.

The programme is produced and presented by Saviour Balzan, assisted by Fredrick Attard and the MediaToday newsroom.

Reporter is aired live every Monday at 6:55pm on TVM. The programme is repeated on TVM2 on Monday at 10:15pm.
